I often paint hearts on my nails but I thought this design was a good idea for more subtle nails for Valentine’s Day. They are also super easy to do yourself. I’ve also entered the River Island Valentine’s Nail Art competition so wish me luck! Follow #RINAILART on Twitter to see more competition entries. Another good look for Valentine’s Day is my wedding nail art design:
I recently discovered YRNAILS on Amazon and bought a few nail decals from them. One design I chose was this adorable hearts made up of little hearts. They are pretty fiddly to get on your nail but they come with great instructions that are really helpful. They also supply a couple of tester decals so you can practice. Once applied, make sure you apply a good top coat to protect them.
Last week I opted for some bright pink bird nails using decals from SkinArt and Models Own nail polish for the base.
My wonderful friends Susan and Robyn gave me a lovely array of Models Own nail polishes and pens for my birthday. I used the purple as a base and added gold studs using one of the pens.
I love Marmite with everything – I even converted my other half to be a Marmite lover too. So it was the obvious step in my baking world to combine my main two foodie loves, cheese and Marmite, and bake some muffins. Similar to my cheese and chive muffin recipe, these muffins are super quick and easy to make.
