After returning from a wonderful holiday in Dubrovnik, today I have been taking a much needed rest and chilling out in our local pub this afternoon. Whilst my boyfriend watched the football, I painted my nails with a lace design.

For the base I used my BarryM gelly hi-shine Pomegranate nail polish. One coat is enough but I added a second coat for a super glossy finish.

Once dried I used my BarryM nail art pen and drew on a variety of lines and dots to produce a lace effect pattern.

My verdict:

These nails were surprisingly easy to create. This nail polish is great, it is super glossy and thick so one coat is enough. The nail pen also worked really well and as long as you have a fairly steady hand, it should be pretty easy to do. Once I shared my nails on Instagram, one friend did comment that it looks like a Christmas jumper design and I agree. Maybe I’ll adapt the design slightly for December.
