The influx of sites such as Notonthehighstreet.com and Etsy have created fantastic platforms for people to get creative and sell their own products. These in turn give the rest of us the opportunity to find the most thoughtful and relevant gifts for our friends and family.
There has also been a recent trend for personalised products – jewellery, mugs and clothing with inspirational quotes, funny slogans, names or initials on them. I love shopping for gifts on NOTHS as it makes it so easy to get a really thoughtful and good quality gift that will mean something to who you’re giving it to.
Here are some of my favourite personalised gift ideas:
Personalised gifts don’t have to specifically have someone’s name or initials on them, it could just be something that is relevant to them. For example, I recently got married so we were given some husband and wife mugs. I also love naps and Pusheen so I bought myself the notebook below.
- Namaste yoga mat from TK Maxx
- Prosecco candle from Primark
- Mr & Mrs mugs from ASOS
- Pusheen notebook from ASOS
By the way, when I’m talking about gifts, many of these are just gifts to myself. It’s good to treat yourself every now and again (or every week in my case).
Can’t find what you’re looking for? Why not make your own!
I’m not a web designer but it’s super simple to create your own design for a t-shirt or sweatshirt using Pixlr editor
– anyone can do it! You can then send your design to Printsome and create your own clothing
. Gone are the days of personalised t-shirts blazoned with crude nicknames only to be worn on hen and stag dos; now we can create our own designs which will feel right at home amongst our high-street wardrobe.
