February was a short but busy month! We went on our first holiday of the year, hosted an awesome cocktail party at home and I signed up for one of the biggest challenges of my life!
Social and Cocktail party
Early on in February I was asked by the awesome guys at Social and Cocktail if I’d like to host a party. Now it’s pretty well known amongst our friends that my other half and I love a bit of a party at our flat so we were without a doubt more than happy to do this. We had a fantastic evening with lots of delicious drinks, fantastic friends and laughing. You can read all about it in my Hostess with the mostest blog post.
Chinese New Year
My lovely friend and colleague, Izzy, was invited to a Chinese New Year event at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, so she took me as her plus one.
New York City in the snow was my favourite thing EVER! We went for a short break there over Valentine’s weekend and it was amazing. I’ll write a full blog post about it soon but for now, here I am in a very, VERY cold and snowy Central Park:
Romantic trip to the beach
When I was at the Chinese New Year event I mentioned above, they had bowlfuls of fortune cookies. Inside mine it said “Romance will blossom this weekend“. So, my other half followed through with an impromptu trip to the beach with a picnic (including strawberries) and everything. It was cold but it was perfect.
The only downside was that I took a fortune cookie home for him too and inside his it said “Hands that touch this slip of paper will never wash dishes” – hmmmm.
I am very excited to say that I have signed up to do an abseil off the Forth Rail Bridge in Edinburgh this June. Eeek!!
Any donations, no matter how big or small, would just mean the world to me. If you’d like to donate or find our more then you can visit my donation page here:
Beyoncé dance class
Last year a few of my colleagues and I did a Michael Jackson dance class (yes, I can moonwalk… sort of…a little bit), and not long after we saw an itison deal for a Beyoncé dance class, so obviously we all bought it.
So it was an all-round pretty fantastic month! Next up… March!
