The Tangle Teezer hair brush doesn’t look like much. It isn’t sturdy or technically outstanding. It is simple yet extremely effective and in the rest of this blog post I will explain why.

Tangle Teezer Hair Brush

My hair has always been very long and very thick. I have been dying it blonde ever since my early teens, yet despite this the condition of my hair is not bad at all (so my hairdressers tell me). The only problem is when I wash my hair it is so matted and has always been impossible to get a hair brush through it before I dry it. Until I found this brush!

I first came across this hair brush when I was getting my hair cut and coloured at a Cheynes salon in Edinburgh. I nearly laughed when she brought the hair brush out as my hair is so long and thick and the bristles looked so small and flimsy. Despite its appearance I let her carry on and to my surprise she brushed through my wet hair so quickly and painlessly, removing all of the tangles. I couldn’t believe it and went out a bought myself one the next day.

The brush come in a variety of sizes and styles, all comprising lots of tiny little flimsy plastic bristles:

  • Aqua Splash – Specifically for wet hair or in the shower.
  • Salon Elite – Professional results in the salon or at home.
  • Original – Classic design, the one I own.
  • Compact Styler – Smaller design, perfect for your handbag.
  • Magic Flowerpot – Cute flower design for children – no more tears!

I have no idea how these brushes work but they do. It glides through my stubborn mound of hair without a glimpse of trouble.
